In 1954, the American brand Rondette, specializing in vintage costume jewelry, began its history in New York. Ben Khalaf, a jeweler, became the company’s director.

Under his leadership, the company’s artisans crafted luxurious jewelry using precious materials: gold of varying karats (14 and 20 carats), as well as precious stones such as sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and diamonds.

Handcrafting ensured the uniqueness of each piece, which is why Rondette pieces were often featured in popular fashion publications. They were sold in prestigious retail outlets, including boutiques in Miami, the upscale Sutton Place stores in New York, and the Anatole Hotel in Dallas.
Each Rondette piece bore distinctive hallmarks: the brand name “Rondette,” a decorative “R” symbol, a copyright notice, and the gold karat.

Rondette LTD ceased operations in 1986.
Today, this brand’s jewelry, inspired by Egyptian art and ancient Greece, is highly prized by collectors and is considered among the rarest pieces.
