The American costume jewelry brand Celebrity N.Y. existed in New York from the mid-1950s to the early 1970s.
Few facts are known about the exact time and place of the brand’s creation.

Celebrity N.Y. designers created bright jewelry, usually choosing rhinestones that were as close as possible to natural stones: amethyst, emerald and ruby. They also used beads that were almost indistinguishable from real pearls.

All products were handmade. Craftsmen manually inserted rhinestones and artificial pearls into intricate metal frames.
The company did not open boutiques, but distributed jewelry only at fashionable parties, which were not accessible to everyone.

In 1971, the brand owners even began advertising their jewelry in fashion magazines, but this did not bring success.

Celebrity N.Y. Jewelry were made under contract at the production facility of the costume jewelry giant DeLizza and Elster.
