Aso Leon, whose work was first presented in Europe at the 2023 GemGenève fair, represents a new wave of Chinese high jewelry.
At the 2024 GemGenève fair, Aso Leon presented unprecedented pieces combining titanium and exceptional gemstones.

Dubbed the “Prince of Titanium,” the Chinese artist has made this metal his signature material since 2005. Unlike gold and silver, titanium requires highly specialized techniques; Aso Leon has developed his own creative approach to its processing and assembly.

The jeweler cuts the gemstones he uses in his pieces himself, reinterpreting the bezel setting technique. The flat gemstones he uses are pre-assembled by hand and set in a metal frame. Emulating the plié-à-jour enameling technique, Aso Leon also creates jewelry in which beauty is the embodiment of craftsmanship.

ASO Leon’s new collection, “Zen Rebirth,” beautifully captures the essence of Zen philosophy and the idea of renewal and transformation that permeates both nature and human experience.
Drawing inspiration from the serene wisdom of Lao Tzu, who once said, “Great form has no form,” ASO Leon invites us into a contemplative space where the boundaries between the material and the spiritual blur, where the impermanent and ever-changing nature of reality is not only acknowledged but celebrated.
