The story of the now Swiss brand “Boghossian” began at the crossroads of the Silk Road in 1868, in the south-east of Turkey in the city of Marden.
The founder of the dynasty of jewelers was Hovhannes Boghossian, who handed over his business to his grandson Ohannes.
Robert Bogossian, the eldest son of Ohaness, was the leading pearl supplier in the Middle East. In 1960 the family moved to Beirut, by 1975 Jean, Robert’s eldest son, became a renowned gemstone specialist and created exquisite jewelry for dignitaries of the Middle East. Fleeing from the war in Lebanon, the family moved to Antwerp, where Jean and Albert continued to improve their skills, creating jewelry that skillfully combined oriental motives and the high quality of western technology.

High quality gemstones
In the early 1980s, the Boghossian brand settled in Geneva, and many years of experience and family heritage allowed the brand to gain recognition and widespread popularity among collectors in a short time. Jewelry of this brand is highly regarded for its unusual style and high quality of precious stones. The jewelry house has its own boutiques in London, Geneva and more recently in Hong Kong.
In addition, the family has an extensive collection of art and precious stones, which they provide for participation in international exhibitions.

Developing and expanding their business, representatives of the Bogosian family actively traveled and got acquainted with various cultures, which was directly reflected in their jewelry. The artistic style of jewelry has a bright oriental flavor, the designers draw their inspiration from the jewelry of the Mughal era and the architecture of ancient cities.
Jewelers masterfully retell oriental fairy tales in a European manner and jewelry becomes not burdened by the national style, but only has an individual accent. A collection of jewelry using the technique of inlaying one stone in another (which was known in ancient Egyptian times) has gained great popularity and has become one of the brand’s business cards. Each stone is meticulously carved and decorated and then inserted right into the next. In the absence of metal, the stones reveal their tonality and brilliance, harmoniously creating the illusion of unity.

Collection Kissing
An absolutely innovative technique is used in the Kissing collection, unique combinations of precious stones with a distinct but perfect harmonious shape and color. This technique consists of placing one stone on top of another, causing the gems to embrace beautifully, creating the perfect light.
The famous Boghossian brand, with its craftsmanship, innovation and subtle sense of style, creates unusually feminine and graceful jewelry that has become a new classic in jewelry.

Also among the exclusive developments of the brand can be attributed the technique “Mervey”, which allows precious stones to sit smoothly next to each other, almost touching each other, creating the impression of soaring, while the metal is practically invisible. This provides a continuous stream of light from one stone to another, increasing their brightness.
