The history of the CG jewellery brand is a fascinating story about the life of Claire Sonia Garnett, an Iranian girl whose destiny changed dramatically after moving to England in 1960. At the age of sixteen, she not only conquered the stage as a talented oriental dancer on television and film, but also discovered a passion for creating jewellery.

The first CG perfume and jewellery shop opened in London just three years after the move, in 1965. Five years later, in 1970, a new establishment opened. Claire’s personal story is reflected in her autobiography “Dancer: A Journey to Success”, written jointly with her husband Alan and published in 2018.

Many of the brand’s products, packaged in luxurious gift boxes, were created by Italian craftsmen. Claire preferred to work with metal alloys of gold and silver shades, gold-plated pewter, high-quality cultured pearls, Swarovski crystals and semi-precious stones such as agate.

The legal history of the brand began with the registration of the company Garnett Ltd in Nottingham (1981), which ceased to exist by 2016. Today, Claire Garnett and her family enjoy a well-deserved rest, living in the prestigious Audley Binswood retirement complex in Leamington Spa.
