Under the Claudette brand, exclusive costume jewelry was produced in the middle of the last century, which was a relatively short period. This history is inextricably linked with the Premier Jewelry Company. The approximate time frame of the brand’s existence remains a subject of debate: some sources point to 1945 as the start, but there is no exact confirmation of this information. Evidence – finds of jewelry with and without author’s marks – indicate production both before and after 1955. Analysis of patents and stylistic features of products support the opinion that the brand’s activity ended in the late 1950s.

In 1957, Premier Jewelry Company registered the Spectrum and Symphony brands, and in 1958 – Suburban. A characteristic feature of Claudette jewelry was the use of multi-colored rhinestones and thermoplastic elements of various shapes and shades.
