In the late 80s, in the heart of London, at 32 Queen Anne Street, the Cristobal London jewellery brand was born. Officially, the company, called Cristobal Limited and owned by John Stephen Miners and Lucien James, was registered only in May 2000.

Cristobal London was an international project that dealt with both the sale and creation of jewellery. The designers brought four recognizable lines to the market:
The Butterfly.
The Secret Garden.
The London (including earrings and necklaces).
The Christmas Collection (consisting of several Christmas brooches).

To create jewellery, the craftsmen used antique Austrian crystals dating back to the 1940s and 1950s, which were carefully hand-inserted into complex floral patterns. The production also used gold plating, matte plastic, artificial glass imitating precious stones, as well as multi-colored rhinestones and Swarovski crystals.

In 2010, the brand ceased its activity. However, despite its relatively short existence, Cristobal London products are popular among collectors and were mentioned in Judith Miller’s guide to vintage costume jewelry, published in 2004.
