The legend of the Damaso Gallegos jewelry brand dates back to 1941, when the founder Damaso (born in 1890, died in 1976) opened his creative laboratory “Amattista” in the charming Mexican city of Taxco.

Before that, the master improved his skills and abilities, working in the famous workshop of Hector Aguilar “Taller Borda”. During the Second World War, Damaso not only preserved, but also significantly expanded his enterprise.

The range of products of his workshop included exquisite flower brooches, bracelets with unique Mexican motifs, silver hairpins and even interior items table sets.

The death of the founder in 1976 did not mark the end of the brand’s history: his son Antonio became his successor, continuing the family business with the same skill and passion for the art of jewelry.
