Ed Levin Jewelry is a costume jewelry brand founded in 1950 in New York City by Ed Levin.

The business grew modestly in the early years: the Levins made jewelry on the stove of their New York City apartment.
In 1953, the first store opened.
In 1958, Levin hired an apprentice, Charles Thompson, who became the head of the Ed Levin Arts Workshop in 1964.
Due to the growing demand for his products, Levin was forced to move the workshop to Bennington Village, Vermont.

In 1970, the market for handmade jewelry grew, and Levin was forced to sell the retail business and move operations to Cambridge, New York.
In 1981, Levin handed over control of the company to Tom Wagner, who computerized the firm and increased the number of clients.
In 2012, the company was purchased by Peter Tonjes and renamed E.L. Designs.

Ed Levin Jewelry is known for innovative and contemporary designs that often incorporate elements of movement and asymmetry. The brand’s collections are created from a variety of materials, including silver, gold, and gemstones.

Each Ed Levin piece is handcrafted in the brand’s workshop in Vermont, USA, and made to order according to the client’s specifications.
