The history of the Edlee company began in 1947 as a family project conceived by Edward Stempa (1908-1984) and his wife Lee. The company name – Edlee Creations, Inc. – is formed from the first two letters of Edward’s name and his wife’s name.

The workshop was located in New York City at 560 Seventh Avenue. Here, skilled artisans created exquisite jewelry in the spirit of Art Deco and Etruscan styles, often using floral ornaments.
The products were made using multi-colored sparkling crystals, molded luminescent glass, enamel, pewter and various metal alloys.

Since its founding in 1947, all products have carried the EDLEE mark with the copyright. A significant number of Edward Stempa’s designs have regularly been included in copyright catalogs since 1950.
In 1973, Edward left the business and handed over management to new owners.
