The birth of the exclusive jewelry brand Jean Vitau began with the arrival of the French master jeweler Jean Vitau to New York about four decades ago. His unique know-how – an innovative ring frame, which is smooth parallel rods instead of traditional prongs – became the basis for a new direction and the registered trademark Gem lok.

Previously, Vitau was famous as one of the key suppliers of the legendary house of Tiffany. His designer wedding rings occupied leading positions in sales due not only to their beauty, but also to their functional feature – the frame rod ensured the perfect fastening of stones without the risk of snagging.

Over time, the Jean Vitau brand has grown into a variety: from non-trivial bracelets of various widths to elegant accessories, where precious and semi-precious stones proudly coexist – from modest pearls to majestic diamonds.

A special place in the assortment is occupied by the “Jean Vitau Collection” – an elegant set of platinum and 18-karat gold, where every detail is imbued with natural beauty: from images of animals to flowers and butterflies.

On February 2, 2011, Jean Vitau passed away in New York at the age of 83. His legacy was continued by the family business, headed by Miriam Galli, Vice President of Gemveto, the daughter of the founder.
