Over the course of three decades, from the 1970s to the late 1980s, the unique history of the Janus Jewels brand in the world of jewelry art was formed. The distinctive features of this period were elegant pendants, exquisite brooches and earrings, embodying the classics with an unconventional sparkle of crystals and virtuoso work of craftsmen.

The founder of the Janus brand in 1972 was John K. Koulukundis, a London jeweler of Greek origin, whose roots are deeply rooted in the traditions of high jewelry art. During the heyday (1970-80s), the Janus Jewels company collaborated with outstanding designers, among whom a special place is occupied by Sun Hwa Griffiths from South Korea. Her works were distinguished by their originality and recognition – each detail was decorated with an image of a cute cat in combination with the Janus brand logo, which became a kind of calling card of the workshop.
