Collectors appreciate Zuni silver and turquoise jewelry. The most famous master stone cutter and jeweler of the Zuni is Leekya Deyuse (1889-1966). Fame came to Likya Deyuze in the early and mid-1900s. He became the earliest known Zuni turquoise and coral carver. Likya’s craftsmanship reached its peak by the 1950s, when museums and private collections around the world became interested in his work.
