Sevan Bicakci was born in 1972 in Istanbul, to an Armenian family. In the fifth grade, due to poor academic performance, his parents took him out of school and sent him to study jewelry.
At the age of eighteen, Sevan opened his own jewelry workshop.
In 2002, he released his first collection of jewelry, which brought him success not only in Turkey, but also far beyond its borders. Thanks to the exquisite and extraordinary works from his first collection, Sevan Bicakci was awarded the prestigious international jewelry award “Town and Country” three times, and in 2009 – the “Jameel Prize” of the London museum “Victoria and Albert Museum”․
In his jewelry, Sevan Bicakci uses many different jewelry art techniques, including micromosaic, calligraphy and intaglio: images of people, plants, animals, as well as palaces, churches and other architectural structures are placed inside the precious stone.
The master’s jewelry is mostly handmade and one-of-a-kind.
Sevan Bicakci’s jewelry is sold in the most expensive jewelry boutiques in many cities around the world from the Middle East to Europe and the United States, and his brand stores “Sevan Bicakci” are located in Istanbul and Dubai. The cost of one ring with a precious stone of the Bicakci brand can reach hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Bicakci has many admirers of his talent in the world, including American actresses Catherine Zeta-Jones, Halle Berry, singers Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga and Rihanna.
