Jewelry works by Gilbert Albert

Genevan jeweler Gilbert Albert (born September 20, 1930, Geneva). His products received 10 times the “Diamonds – International Awards” – the so-called “Jewelry Oscars”. And there is a reason.

He makes all his products himself. They are unique because they are created in a single copy, which is naturally facilitated by the material of manufacture – monitor lizard legs, scarab fossils, firefly shells, peacock feathers, meteorite fragments, corals, shells, dinosaur bones, etc. etc.

All this is processed, supplemented with gem-quality gems and carefully placed in white and yellow gold of the highest standard. It is possible to repeat such compositions, but equally formed feathers, paws, bones, etc. does not exist in nature.

The master collects all these “charms” for his collections while traveling the world, not disdaining to pick up on ordinary beaches, roadsides, desert dunes.

Born in Geneva, after graduating from university with a degree in decorative arts, Gilbert went to work for a watch company. Many of his models were subsequently put into mass production, and some models were included in the world catalog of “60 watch masterpieces of the twentieth century.”

In 1962, he finally opened his workshop and store attached to it. Now his works are exhibited in museums around the world, including in Russia. They have the honor to adorn the richest necks of the world and sparkle on the evening dresses of the stars.

Gilbert visited Russia for the first time in 1991 at the exhibition of his products “Treasures of the Earth, Sky and Sea” in the Assumption Belfry of the Kremlin and was captivated by the beauty of Moscow. After the exhibition, he laughed at the fact that none of the visitors to the exhibition even asked about the cost of his products. However, they are actually VERY expensive.
