Johan Lauritzen was a Danish silversmith. He was born in 1900 in Schleswig. He began his career in the jewelry industry in the 1940s.

At the age of fifty, Lauritzen founded his own workshop in Copenhagen and worked most intensively between 1950 and 1970. In the 1980s, he left work due to deteriorating health and died on September 20, 1984.

As a rule, the designer created jewelry in the spirit of Art Nouveau, Art Nouveau or classical style, often using natural motifs. Johan Lauritzen put a characteristic oval hallmark “Sterling John L. Denmark” on his works.

Lauritzen’s products are valued as rare and sought-after collectibles among connoisseurs of vintage jewelry.
