Lily Aldridge ‘s career began at the age of 17 when her face appeared on the cover of Spanish Vogue. She has also appeared on the covers of magazines such as Glamor, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue and Elle Girl.
She has appeared in advertising campaigns for Rocawear, Arden B., Shiatzy Chen, Bobbi Brown and others. In 2009, Lily took part in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show for the first time, and in 2010 she signed a contract with the company and became one of the “angels”. “In order to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel, you have to be in shape all year, but just before the show, everything is amplified several times. I start to prepare intensively two months before, so I come to the show at the peak of my healthy physical condition. ” During this crucial period of preparation, Lily’s diet consists of foods with low protein content, not very sweet fruits, vegetables and no alcohol, ”said Lily.

“The biggest limitation during this period is not a drop of wine, and a week before the show I stop eating salty foods,” Lily explained. At the same time, she emphasized that restrictions are easy for her, since she follows a diet not only for the cameras, but also for herself. “I could eat Bolognese pasta every day, but I understand that I will feel better if I eat fresh organic food, delivered directly from the farm and prepared by myself,” she says.
When asked by Shape magazine about what is always kept in Lily’s fridge, she replied: “I love avocado. This is my favorite snack. I eat avocados either neat or with rice cake, or I make guacamole (mashed avocado and tomato with spices). This is a very healthy and satisfying meal. ”
