Jewelry house “Marina B.”, founded by Marina Bulgari, daughter of Constantino Bulgari, who left the family business in Rome and founded her own business in Geneva.
Blackened gold, black onyx and black mother-of-pearl set off the radiance of diamonds, pearls and bright or muted colors of precious stones in her products.

Marina began producing products in which gemstones could be exchanged.
In 1980, the Pneu (French tire) earring jewelry line was created, including a drop and a pendant shaped like a tire. The pendant was changed to a similar model from a different color scheme, a different type of precious stone.

The popularity of Pneu earrings inspired Marina to create other “transformable” jewelry. As a result, the Cimin-kit and Nodo series appeared, consisting of gold elements into which multi-colored quartz beads can be inserted. They were easy to change depending on the mood or season.
In the 1980s, necklaces and bracelets were designed using metal springs that were plated with precious metal. Marina Bulgari used this simple invention extensively to create jeweled neck jewelry for the perfect fit.
