The history of the Mario Masenza (1913-1985) jewelry brand begins with the founding of a jewelry store in Rome in 1924. Mario Masenza (he was the heir to the jewelers who supplied jewelry to the Italian royal family) was looking for a new path for the family business.

In the 1940s, Mario Masenza founded the “School of Rome”. This group of artists took an experimental and creative approach to creating jewelry, combining ancient metalworking techniques with modern aesthetics.

Throughout this period, Mario Masenza collaborated with young Italian artists to offer original jewelry to his elite clients, among whom was the Italian royal family.

Many of the pieces created by Mario Masenza were exhibited at international design fairs around the world as works of art.
