Mark Baldin is a holder of the highest award in jewelry art – the Order of Carl Faberge, winner of the JUNWEX competitions, whose works are even exhibited in the Hermitage.
Mark Baldin works in Novosibirsk. He designs jewelry pieces that are a bit like Russian fairy tales, they have something ancient and romantic at the same time.
Flowers, insects, abstract forms in gold, silver, stones, with bold contrasts and a combination of different styles. The mixture of different surfaces, opaque and polished, precious and semi-precious stones in a wide variety of forms is unique.
An architect by education, Mark Baldin has a keen sense of form, his decorations are full of air. Baldin’s things are complex worlds. The transition from soft lines to more aggressive ones allows you to depict “wind”, “leaf waltz”, “plasma whirlwind”.
His favorite material is rock crystal. He is absolutely transparent. Crystal can be cut in such a way that it will glow like a diamond. Lately I’ve also taken a liking to titanium.
