Mary McFadden is an American fashion designer known for her clothing and accessories that were in high demand in the United States from 1976 to the early 2000s.

Here are some interesting moments from the history of her brand:
At the early stages of her career, McFadden supplemented her collections with pieces from jewelry houses. However, in the late 70s, she began to independently develop jewelry that bore her name. In her jewelry, the designer often turned to Celtic patterns, motifs from Etruscan culture, pre-Columbian art, Egypt, and African traditions.

Alloys resembling gold, brass, and decorative glass imitating precious stones were used to create jewelry. In 1977, Mary McFadden received a patent for her unique fabric called “marii”. She introduced a universal clothing line, and then expanded the range by releasing two new lines: Mary McFadden Studio (elegant dresses and evening wear) and Mary McFadden Collection (suits and sportswear for young girls). In 2002, the company founded by McFadden ceased operations.

Mary McFadden’s work has been highly appreciated: she has received numerous awards, including two Coty Awards, and was inducted into the Coty Hall of Fame in 1979.
