Morita Gil is a Chilean jewelry brand created by designer Morita Gil (born in 1920, Chilean with Spanish roots). Her works are characterized by a harmonious fusion of bohemian style and modernist motifs, as well as the use of various metals and natural stones mined in Chile.

In 1968, Morita Gil founded her own studio in Providencia (Metropolitana de Santiago). Before starting her own business, she studied the secrets of jewelry making and stone processing techniques while traveling around the world with her sister (Greece, Thailand, Italy).

A special place in her work is occupied by lapis lazuli – a stone mined from local deposits. After extraction, carried out by an engineer, Morita’s husband, the complex process of creating jewelry began. Even in the 1990s, with the support of her two daughters, Morita Gil continued to operate the workshop, where unique lapis lazuli items, jewelry boxes, sculptures, and even interior items were made.
Today, the company is run by Morita Gil’s daughters, Carolina and Isabel Martinez.

The exquisite design and impeccable execution of Morita Gil jewelry have won the love of celebrities, whose photographs can be seen on the walls of the workshop. Among them are Queen Sofia, Liza Minnelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Margaret Thatcher, and even the Pope, for whom Morita Gil and her husband made a unique bowl.
