The founder of the Mouawad jewelry company is David Mouawad (1865-1951), who made a long journey from his native Lebanon for education and finding a place in life. Since leaving Lebanon, he has lived alternately in New York and Mexico for two decades. Here he acquired the specialty of a watchmaker and jeweler.
In 1890, David Mouawad, the founder of a famous jewelry house in his native Lebanon, opened a jewelry workshop.

The uniqueness of the business he founded lies in the fact that he was able not only to increase his sphere of influence, but also to flourish from generation to generation. Each new descendant of David increased the profits and fame of the Mouawad brand.
David traveled a lot, studied modern jewelry techniques and studied the main fashion trends in Europe and America. Thanks to this experience, he was able to create unique jewelry watch models with very complex mechanisms. The sophistication and subtlety of precious products quickly made it popular in their homeland.

David’s work was continued by his son Fayz. The son’s products were no less elegant and refined, which allowed him to become popular among the European aristocracy.
Faiz’s son Robert was already able to bring the business to the European market. He produced more than one unique collection of watches, which was decorated with diamonds and made by hand, which was presented in Geneva in the seventies of the last century.

To date, the successor of the family business is a descendant of the fourth generation Muawad-Pascal. Together with his brother Fred, he took the jewelry house of his ancestors to unprecedented heights.
