Paolo Gucci is a costume jewelry brand whose history is linked to Paolo Gucci, the son of Aldo Gucci and grandson of the founder of the Gucci fashion house, Guccio Gucci.

Biography of Paolo Gucci
Paolo Gucci (March 29, 1931, Florence, Italy – October 10, 1995, London, UK) was an Italian businessman and designer.
In the late 1960s, his father appointed him head designer of the family business, and in 1978 – vice president of Gucci. He is credited with helping to develop the famous Gucci logo – two intertwined letters G.

History of the brand
In 1983, Paolo Gucci founded his own company Paolo Gucci Design Studio in New York and began producing jewelry under his own name.
The pieces were stamped with the Paolo mark, as well as a label with the coat of arms and the words “Designed by Paolo Gucci”. From 1983 to 1993, Paolo Gucci jewellery was produced in small batches.

After Paolo Gucci’s death, the rights to his brand returned to Gucci.
