Founded in 1972 in Akron, Ohio, Aubrey McDonald Creations (formerly Paradise Jewelry Inc.) produced costume jewelry for over two decades before ceasing operations in 1997. This family-owned business was founded and operated by Paul L. Bazzi (1918–2004), Carol Ann Mosteller (1947–1984), and James Arthur Mosteller (b. 1944). Production was carried out under the Paradise (1972–1997) and Aubrey Creations (1983–1988) names.

The artisans created exquisite bracelets, brooches, earrings, and necklaces using quality materials, including a variety of metals and alloys, mother-of-pearl, crystal, enamel, and glass. The signature stamp included the name “Paradise” in large type within an oval frame.

It is interesting to note that the earliest registered trademark for pearl jewelry, “Paradise,” belonged to the Abraham Rolnick Company of New York, beginning in January 1924. Also, Cojeva, Inc. of New York used the Paradis designation for its costume jewelry, imitation pearls, and beads since 1961. However, the trademark and logo design of these companies differed from that used by Paradise Jewelry Inc. of Ohio.
