
Pekka Piekainen (1945–2004) was a Finnish jewellery and watch designer.
He began his career working for Kaunis Koru in the 1960s. He then moved to Auran Kultaseppä Oy, where he was artistic director and chief designer from 1971 to 1989.

In 1991, Pekka founded PlatinOro with Portuguese artist Anna-Kaisa Laakso. He worked there for over ten years, for which he received the Goldsmith of the Year award from The Finish Goldsmith Association in 2002.

Pekka is known for his sculptural and geometric designs, which often incorporate unconventional materials such as plastic, rubber and wood.

Some of his achievements:
In 1976, he received the State Award for Industrial Design.
In 1979, he was awarded the State Design Award. In 2002, the Finnish Goldsmiths Association recognized Pekka as a Finnish pioneer for the first series of designer watches made for mass production.
