Pierre Bex produced jewelry and small furnishings (such as photo frames, perfume bottles) in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.
In Bex’s workshop, everything was done by hand, jewelry was made of copper using old samples and materials, according to antique drawings and patterns of the 19th and early 20th centuries (it is not known where Pierre Bex acquired them); then the products were covered with a thick layer of silver and enamel. The brooches used a ramrod lock.
PIERRE BEX. – this amazing designer worked in the very center of Fashion – Paris in from 1969 to the end of the 1980s. A distinctive feature of this magical jeweler was that his works were not only indistinguishable from antique jewelry, but also sometimes cost more than the original on the antique market. So what’s the secret? – The company produced tiny editions of jewelry and small pieces of furniture in the style of Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
In Bex’s workshop, everything was also made exclusively by hand, jewelry was made of copper using ancient samples and materials, and then covered with a thick layer of silver and author’s enamel. The company, although it worked in the second half of the twentieth century, used only retro motifs in design, jewelry were made according to antique patterns and drawings, sometimes in the Baroque style, and sometimes cast molds of the 19th century were used in the design, history is silent about where Bex managed to acquire, learn and peep them.
There was another innovation from PIERRE BEX – he brilliantly used fresh flowers and plants (!) in his works and used them without dyes and preservatives (!), only by hand. with the help of tweezers, flower arrangements were connected and selected.
Jewelry collections were limited, produced with cardboard labels, but the highest quality of vintage, rare items allows us to admire the creations of Pierre Becks even now.
Pierre Bex has masterfully used living plants in its creations: stunning flower arrangements without dyes or preservatives.
