Richard Lindsay is an American artist, jeweler, and designer who creates collectible jewelry.
Born in 1946 in Colorado, he moved to Tesuque, Santa Fe County, New Mexico, in the mid-1970s.

He began creating silver jewelry after learning about the artistic traditions of local jewelers.
During his creative career, he launched several jewelry brands:
“RL” – registered in 1975, active until 2004;
Walking Trout (1976);
Happy Critters (1983-1998);
Howling Coyote (1985-2005);
Richard Lindsay Designs (1986-1993).

The designer’s work has been featured on television and in the press, including Accessories, Ladies Home Journal, and Life magazines.
Richard Lindsay jewelry has been worn by many celebrities, including Meryl Streep, Madonna, and Sandra Bullock.
