Sevan Bychakchi was born in 1972 in Istanbul, in an Armenian family. In the fifth grade, because of poor studies, his parents took him out of school and sent him to study jewelry.
At the age of eighteen, Sevan opened his own jewelry workshop.
In 2002, he released his first collection of decorated jewelry, which brought him success not only in Turkey, but also far beyond its borders. Thanks to the exquisite and extraordinary works from the first collection, Sevan Bychakci was awarded the prestigious international jewelry award “Town and Country” three times, and in 2009 – the “Jameel Prize” of the London museum “Victoria and Albert Museum”․
In his jewelry, Sevan Bychakchi uses many different techniques of jewelry art, including micromosaic, calligraphy, and intaglio: images of people, plants, animals, as well as palaces, churches, and other architectural structures are placed inside the precious stone.
In most cases, the master’s jewelry is made by hand and in a single copy.
Sevan Bicakci’s jewelry is sold in the most expensive jewelry boutiques in many cities of the world from the Middle East to Europe and the USA, and his brand stores “Sevan Bicakci” are located in Istanbul and Dubai. The cost of one ring with a precious stone of the Bychakchi brand can reach hundreds of thousands of dollars.
There are many admirers of Bychakchi’s talent in the world, among them are American actresses Catherine Zeta-Jones, Halle Berry, singers Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga and Rihanna.
