Suzanne has been collecting art for many years, and in her youth she was connected with the art scene of New York.

In the early 2000s, she opened her studio in Geneva, but retained the principle of exclusivity, characteristic of any work of art. Her jewelry is created only in a single copy, and even in those rare cases when she undertakes to make something to order for a client, the point of departure is always the customer’s personality, and not his instructions. The artist does not work with other people’s sketches. Suzanne even included a reference to high art in the name of her brand – Suzanne Syz Art Jewels.

Syz is an artist and designer. She does not have a specialized education, but this does not hinder her at all. Suzanne is very free with materials. For example, she can insert a unique stone into a frame made of… aluminum, but she does it absolutely masterfully. It is no coincidence that Syz’s works are called ironic and even mischievous.

Her work has also been included in museum collections. For example, her fruit basket earrings, called Panier, created in 2018, are on display in the jewelry gallery of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.

In addition to titanium, Cees’s favorite materials include colored gemstones, uncut ones at that. And her favorite subjects include funny fauna. Among the new pieces of jewelry is the “Hippo” brooch made of gold and zircon with diamonds and demantoids, and several pieces of jewelry with frogs carved from chrysoprase: the “Prince Charming” bracelet, the “Kermit on a Water Lily” brooch, and the “Frog Paradise” necklace. And by the way, such ironic names are another signature feature of Suzanne Cees’s style.
