Year of foundation -2005
The Tamsen Z jewelry brand was founded by Ann Ziff. Her mother was the famous American opera singer Harriet Henders. She was a prominent woman, wearing only high-quality unique jewelry. Ann inherited her good taste and passion for bright precious stones from her mother.
Later, having married William B. Ziff Jr., she began to buy and collect rare stones and unique jewelry. Her exclusive collection included truly rare specimens: Colombian emeralds, Australian black opals, tourmalines. Over time, Ann’s collection became one of the most complete in the world.

But Ann could not simply admire the beauty of rare stones. And so the idea arose to organize a jewelry workshop for the production of jewelry with the rarest minerals, striking in their beauty and sophistication. And so begins the painstaking daily work: Anne develops sketches, selects stones, and creates masterpieces on her own.
But Anne’s activities do not end there: she is involved in charity work, serving as the chairperson of the Metropolitan Opera, serving as vice-chairperson of the Lincoln Center, and as an artist at the Tribe Foundation. And today Anne does not abandon her public work: she serves on the board of the American Museum of Natural History, participates in the organization of the World Science Festival, and in the New York restoration project.

Jewelry from another universe
All Tamsen Z brand products are not just everyday jewelry, but something more, breathtaking, with a special history and meaning. Large rings with huge stones of blue shades seem to contain a piece of the universe or the starry sky. The unique engraving of a large, single stone in the ring is the highlight of many collections. Anne knows a lot about stones – they are selected by her with taste and, despite the apparent pretentiousness, look very organic and natural.
Very often, the master uses small colored beads for decoration in her products. What is noteworthy is that Ann does not strive to give the stones a perfectly smooth shape and surface. In many products, the minerals have an uneven original shape, which only adds a special charm to the rings, pendants and earrings.

Products without stones
Jewelry without stones is distinguished by an amazingly clear drawing of all the details, fine professional chasing. Particularly bright examples are in the “bird” collection: the finest feathers, exotic birds. Wide bracelets made of gold plate with round holes all over the surface amaze the imagination with their laconicism and seeming simplicity.
In general, geometric shapes are often found in the Tamsen Z product series. Massive triangular pendants, rectangular cufflinks, round earrings – such jewelry will suit a self-confident, bold woman who does not want to seem too bright, but does not forget to shade her individuality.

Animal motifs are also present in many series: turtles with shells strewn with small stones, rhinoceroses, as if standing on a ball (a large oval stone), writhing snakes and even fish skeletons. It is simply impossible to list all the variety, for which the brand has earned popularity in different countries.
