Tara Ware Ltd., based in Ireland, was a jewellery manufacturer for half a century, from 1935 until the late 1980s.

Tara Ware Ltd. designers were inspired by the world-famous Book of Kells, an ancient sacred manuscript. They reproduced Celtic patterns with images of birds and snakes, using multi-coloured enamel, as well as copper, bronze and gold leaf.

Tara Ware pieces were usually hallmarked: either the initials “TW” in the shape of a shamrock, or the inscription “Tara” on the back.

Each piece of jewellery was accompanied by paper tags or cards containing information about the history of the ancient Irish craft art associated with the creation of jewellery.
