In September 1959, Weingeroff Enterprises, Inc. was founded in Cranston, Rhode Island, as a family-owned business specializing in jewelry and gift-giving accessories.

In the second half of the 1970s, Frederick Weingeroff, the founder’s son, joined the business. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant success, especially in the mid- to late 20th century (1980s), when Weingeroff Enterprises actively collaborated with leading jewelry brands: from Stacy, Inc. and Gem-Case to Lynne Suzanne, Imperial Jewelry and Jay Strongwater.

The main assortment included classic-style costume jewelry – animal and flower figurines, brooches, pins, earrings, bracelets and chains. Various materials were used for production: metal alloys with gold or silver plating, lucite (light-conducting material), glitter enamel for shine, rhinestones and art glass imitating precious stones.

During the period 1978-2000, Weingeroff Enterprises registered more than twenty of its own trademarks. The distinctive sign was the “W” symbol, which appeared on products since 1981, ensuring easy recognition of the brand.

The company’s history was full of ups and downs: changes in management, renaming. Ultimately, Weingeroff Enterprises ceased to exist in 2012.
