“My cherished desire is to create jewelry that will charm even those who do not have a liking for jewelry art. I am sure that if a man creates jewelry for women, he must learn their needs, learn to understand their desires and feelings in order to create something for them. amazing, unique and joyful. ” Yoshinobu Kataoka
Yushinobu Kataoka is a Japanese jeweler and jewelry designer who continues the family tradition, born in 1970 in Hokkaido. After studying visual design at Kyoto University, he joined the family business at Yoshinob as lead designer. The unique manner of working with metal and the finest technique soon made him famous in his native Japan.
In 2011, Yushinobu created his own jewelry company “Kataoka jewelry”, and began to produce fine and shiny jewelry.
In his works, you rarely find large stones and never come across weighty forms. He creates jewelry not overloaded with metal and details, which nevertheless shines and breathes. Frames for tiny stones open like delicate buds, and the lines tend to transparency.
Yushinobu Kataoka’s jewelry contains that lightness of lines and lively breath, which are so lacking in modern “high” jewelry art, and that virtuoso technique and subtlety of execution, which are sometimes lacking in author’s jewelry.
