The brand Bottega Veneta was created in 1966 in Vicenza by two partners – Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro.

The brand did not have a logo for a long time, so even now, when we talk about it, we present products, not a specific logo.

Factory workers invented an unusual weave made from leather scraps.

The brand became famous for the wicker basket bag “Cabat”, which took two days to create.

Gradually, success began to decline, this can be seen especially clearly after the departure of the founders in the 70s.

In the 80s, there were many elite fans among the brand’s fans; the bags even appeared in Hollywood films. But this resounding success also quickly faded away.

Back in 2006, to preserve traditions, the leatherworking school “La Scuola dei Maestri Pelletteri di Bottega Veneta” was opened.

In 2016, the fashion house celebrated its 50th anniversary, as well as Thomas Maier’s 15th anniversary as creative director.

In 2019, the brand entered the top twenty most popular for the first time.

Now we see that many are already fed up with total-Bottega looks. But nevertheless, popularity, sales, demand and desirability are growing steadily.

Today Bottega Veneta produces clothes, bags, suitcases, shoes, jewelry, optics, perfume and even furniture.
