Harry Iskin was born in London on September 30, 1886. His parents were born in Russia. Harry immigrated to the United States and became an American citizen in 1908, at the age of 22.

In 1911 he met his future wife Leah. Leah and her mother were born in Pennsylvania, her father was British. Since 1917, Harry and his wife lived in Philadelphia, where Harry became a famous engraver. By 1930, he owned a jewelry factory. Most of Harry Pekin’s jewelry was produced in gold, silver or gold-plated.

On December 28, 1953, the New York Times announced the bankruptcy of the company and all stocks of goods, machine tools and other equipment were auctioned off in January 1954.

Harry Iskin produced jewelry with carved celluloid, lucite, as well as brooches similar to Coro duets, only in three parts, for example, a trefoil that can be disassembled into three brooches.
