Carl Gustav Hjalmar Armfeldt (1873 – 1959), one of the best jewelers of the Faberge firm. Joining the firm in 1895, he initially worked under the guidance of silversmith Antti (Anders) Nevalainen and became his closest assistant in 1901. In 1904, he became a master and used the personal mark “YaA”. In 1904, Armfeldt bought the workshop of Victor Aarne and began to fulfill orders for the Fabergé firm until its closure.

The workshop of Hjalmar Armfeldt specialized in the production of frames for photo frames made of wood, silver and gold with guilloché enamel, frames for products made of ornamental stones, and figurines made of silver.
