Miriam’s real surname sounds like Salat, and she comes from Polish lands far from America. Miriam has a wonderful family – two daughters and husband David Aaron Joseph, who is also a celebrity in the world of high jewelry. Like Miriam, he did not immediately start creating jewelry: the hereditary jeweler, in defiance of his father, became interested in acting, which was followed by directing experience.
And it all started with an attempt to change fate – slightly boring road construction projects remained in the past (Miriam is a specialist in the construction of airports and roads), now she has taken up the study of psychology, and as an additional income she began to practice creating jewelry. Surprisingly, the first collection of her jewelry was then bought by the Barney luxury store.
In 2004, David and Miriam decided to create a joint jewelry project, Bochic. All products are made in gold, diamonds, diamonds, other precious and semi-precious stones, adjacent to carved mammoth bone, expensive types of wood.
However, Miriam decides to continue her own project and in 2010 launches a new line, naming it after herself. The stake here is on unusual textures, the deepest and most saturated colors. She prefers to create jewelry in an inexpensive design – a special grade of plastic, bakelite resin, gilded silver, semi-precious and ornamental stones.
Like Bochic, here each product is made by hand, which means – in a single copy. Miriam’s favorite materials are silver, resin and zirconium. It can be assumed that almost all bright and colorful products contain resin – an environmentally friendly product made from recycled natural wood. With the addition of harmless chemical impurities, the material becomes strong and durable.
