Joan Rodriguez Smalls is a Puerto Rican top model. As of May 2014, it occupies first place in the list of 50 world top models of the website models.com and 21st in the ranking of the highest paid models in the world on the same resource. Joan Smalls is the face of the cosmetics company Estée Lauder and hosts MTV’s House of Style.
Born on July 11, 1988 in a poor family in Puerto Rico, she dreamed of becoming a model since childhood. After leaving school, she moved to New York, where in 2007 the Elite Model Management agency paid attention to her, signed a contract, but she was not in great demand, posing for various clothing catalogs. In 2009, she changes agency and signs a contract with IMG Models, which has a huge impact on her career, in 2009 she participates in the Givenchy show, after which she gains worldwide popularity.
In 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 she was invited to the Victoria’s Secret show.
Personal life of Joan Smalls
Joan has been in a relationship with Bernard Smith, the founder of the model holiday home, for 5 years. Despite the busy work schedules, the couple spends all their free time together, and Bernard himself admitted that he often argues with the model’s mother who still loves the beautiful Joan more.
On the Joan Smalls page, you can find a huge number of photos and videos from the gym. The model spoils her followers with pictures of food not so often. However, in one of the interviews, the owner of the “steel press” Smalls said that she hates vegetables. And yet, they are the basis of her diet. Joan eats in small portions, and the interval between meals is no more than 4 hours.
The model admitted that she is a devoted fan of Puerto Rican cuisine, so for dinner she often allows herself a portion of rice with red beans, which goes against all the canons of proper nutrition.
